All those that are eligible can go to a pharmacy (listed below) and get one.
Who can have one
People who work in these sectors:
- Calderdale Council employees.
- Staff in Calderdale care settings (includes domiciliary care).
- Staff in early years settings and early years providers (includes Ofsted-certified childminders).
- Staff in all primary, secondary, specialist and post-16 education providers.
If you are eligible for a free NHS flu jab, you should get it via that route. If you are not sure, the pharmacy can check for you.
What you need to do
Take proof of your employment with you, such as:
- Work ID badge (if you have one);
- a recent Payslip;
- or Ofsted certification.
Where you can get one
Some pharmacies ask you to book, others you can just turn up. We advise you to phone them before you go, to avoid any issues.

If you have already had a flu jab using the old scheme, well done for protecting yourself!
- You can still claim under the old scheme.
- Going forward, we will move to the new scheme.
- Anyone who has not had their jab yet, please use the new scheme.
