To provide support for households that struggle with their own tenancy, we have commissioned:
- People, Potential, Possibilities (P3);
- Young Persons’ Prevention and Support Service (YPASS);
- and Together Housing.
What they can help with
- Maintain your current tenancy.
- Manage your money, bills and budget.
- Apply for welfare benefits that you are eligible for.
- Resolve tenancy issues, sort out rent or report repairs.
- Develop life skills, such as cooking, cleaning and shopping.
- Access training, education and employment.
Who can get this
- Any Calderdale resident who is eligible for public funds.
- Single people, couples and families who will work with us to sort out problems and engage with our support services.
You may need this support if you:
- Struggle to manage in your current property and there is a risk that you could become homeless.
- Are leaving hospital, prison or care and you need support to live independently.
- Are homeless and you get help from our Temporary Accommodation Support Service.
- Struggle to manage a tenancy due to mental health, physical health, substance misuse or any other support need.
- Have been granted ‘Leave to Remain’ and you need help to set up and manage your first tenancy.

What happens next
We will review the referral and contact you to arrange a phone or in person assessment.
Our Housing Options Team may also contact you, if you are deemed to be at immediate risk of Homelessness.
If the referral is accepted, it will be passed on to either YPASS, P3 or Together Housing.
Who you will be referred to
This is based on your age:
- YPASS (16 to 25 years old).
- P3 (Over 25 years old).
- Together Housing (Over 60 years old and have a support need).
