Take them to your local supermarket or any other big shop nearby. (They must accept them if they sell over 32 kg of batteries a year.) There should be a collection point for 'portable' batteries, such as:
- AAA;
- AA;
- 9V;
- battery packs;
- button batteries;
- and rechargeable ones.
Lithium batteries
Please put these in the battery box at your local HWRC.
- Terminals should be taped up, to prevent risk of fire.
- Where a battery is part of device and cannot be taken out, treat these as electrical products. For example calculators and e-cigarettes.
