This new fund is to:
- help people cope with a sudden, unexpected expense or loss of income;
- and also help with longer term financial resilience.
It is funded by the UK Government and will run from 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2029.
We aim to start our scheme on 1st April 2026. At the moment, we are looking at how our local scheme will work.

This fund will replace the Household Support Fund, which ends 31st March 2026.
