Find out what our Business Engagement (Place Team) does to support business and people.

We support the borough's visitor economy with a team that works to create and promote trade and tourism.

You may have already met some of our team. They have been out and about talking to over 200 businesses who have welcomed their help.

The team is on hand to meet face to face, so drop in for a quick informal chat.

An officer will be there to talk you through what support there is for you and your business, such as:

  • Local events and opportunities for your business.
  • Staff. Recruitment, training, staff well-being.
  • Visitors. Promote trade and tourism, support with visitor offer.
  • Accessibility. Open up your business to be inclusive for all, the Purple Pound.
  • Digital. Advocate digital and skills, social media marketing, advertising.
  • Green Economy. Sustainability, climate emergency, saving energy.

We can also support you to find your way around other council services. We are here to help you to make sure that your business is as great as it can be!

  • 10.30am to 12noon at Hebden Bridge.

Thursday:

  • 10.30am to 11.30am at Beechwood Road.
  • 1pm to 2.30pm at Brighouse Library

Friday:

  • 10.30am to 12noon at Todmorden.
  • 10.30am to 12noon at Sowerby Bridge.
