Social value refers to the broader benefits that are created for individuals, communities, and society through actions, investments, or services. It goes beyond traditional financial or economic value to involve social, environmental, and cultural impacts that contribute to the well-being and quality of life of people and communities.
Leasing the Mixenden Hub retail space, to include social value criteria, aligns closely with the goals of the North Halifax Strategy. This strategy focuses on increasing economic opportunities, reducing inequality, improving health and wellbeing, and ensuring financial and environmental sustainability for North Halifax.

- A more accessible place for everyone
- A safe place to live, work, and visit, where people feel proud
- Services and activities that are inclusive and targeted
- A place where people can thrive and succeed
- A place where people care for each other
- Places and spaces designed to benefit local people
Please provide as much detail as possible of the proposed use in the Estates Offer Form and outline how the proposed use and operation of the property would meet the six key goals.
