This covers 26 GP surgeries and more than 213,000 registered patients. It is a group of GPs that plan and design local health services in England. They do this by buying health and care services that include:
- planned hospital care;
- urgent and emergency care;
- rehabilitation care;
- community health services and mental health;
- and learning disability services.

Blind Veterans UK
The Blind Veterans UK believe that no one who has served our country should battle blindness alone. That is why they are here to help with lifelong practical and emotional support. This is for Armed Forces and National Service veterans, regardless of when they served or how they lost their sight. They help veterans recover their independence and discover a life beyond sight loss.
The Warrior Programme
This is a residential programme in London, SW and NW for Veterans and adult family members of Veterans. It is for people who:
- are not reaching their potential;
- are stuck, frustrated, angry, guilty or not sure;
- lack confidence;
- struggle with the transition to civie street or getting back to "normality".
Combat Stress
Confidential and safe help and advice about service related mental health issues for the whole military community.
Transition, Intervention and Liaison
The service seeks to increase access to mental health services' treatment.
There are three parts:
- Transition. The service works with the Ministry of Defence to offer support for those nearing discharge.
- Intervention. Personnel nearing discharge will be assessed within two weeks of a referral. This will give access to treatment and support from a care coordinator.
- Liason. Those that can benefit from NHS care will be referred to their services. This is to give the right support or treatment.
NHS Veterans’ Mental Health Complex Treatment Service (VMH CTS)
A specialist community mental health service for veterans with complex mental illness related to their time in the military.
- It helps all veterans.
- This service is for the north of England (from South Yorkshire to Cheshire and up to the Scottish Borders).
It is run in partnership with Combat Stress.
