ID Verify Scheme

Identity verification for applicants who cannot complete a self-service application or are not confident completing it. For those that have checked that they are eligible to apply for EU settlement.

The UK has now left the European Union (EU). If you are an EU Citizen, you should have applied to stay here by Wednesday 30th June 2021. If you have not, please see Late applications below.

The Home Office has introduced the EU Settlement Scheme. For more about this, visit: Settled and pre-settled status for EU citizens and their families: Who should apply (GOV.UK).

Late applications for the EU Settlement Scheme

  • All EU, EEA and Swiss citizens and their family members who were resident in the UK by 31st December 2020.
  • To allow them to continue to work, study, access free healthcare and get benefits in the UK.
  • Every eligible child in a family needed to apply. Parents should do this for their children, even if they have been granted a status themselves.

Important note: The Home Office may still permit those who missed the deadline to apply late.

For more details, please visit: EU Settlement Scheme: information for late applicants (GOV.UK).
