Climate Action Plan annual review - year one

Community climate action

There is so much work taking place across Calderdale for this. This gives us a great base from which to build. Community climate action fits well with lots of other work taking place in the borough. This includes building an inclusive economy, promoting health/activity and making sure homes are warm.

How we are doing

Our priorities for the next year

Our focus for the next year is to build partnerships. We need to find funding to move our community climate action plans from ideas into reality.

Case study – Cozydale project

Cozydale is a Todmorden Learning Centre and Community Hub project using funding from Mayor Brabin's Community Climate Grants. Working in Park ward and Warley, Cozydale has delivered free insulation training to residents. This is in partnership with St. Augustine's Centre and the Women's Activity Centre.

A lady explained: "We have been given the chance to learn new skills. The course gives you an idea of how to do your own internal walls. You go away feeling confident and excited to make changes."
