Council Tax exemption

As a foster carer for us you can get a full Council Tax exemption, if:

• You pay your Council Tax to Calderdale Council;
• and offer (or be forecast to offer) a child a place for 26 weeks in the year.

Financial support

• For each child:

  • Therapeutic support and advice.
  • Calderdale's Foster Care Association, Families at Calderdale Together (FACT).
• Financial support with the chance to progress as you gain experience.
• Free membership to the Fostering Network, the UK's largest charity for foster carers. This includes access to independent legal advice.
