Bikeability Level 1

For riders who want to develop skills ready for a journey on the road.

You will gain basic cycle control skills, which include: starting and pedalling, stopping, manoeuvring, signalling and using the bike's gears.

The course

The training is in a traffic free place, either a playground or fire station drill yard.

• A full day.
• National Standard Level 1.
• Held at Calderdale schools during school holidays.
• Suitable for 7 to 10 year olds.
• Bikes and helmets are available, but if you have your own bike, please bring it.
• Bring a packed lunch.
• Funded.
• Includes a badge and certificate on successful completion.
