
Children will learn the basics of cycling in a fun and safe place. This will increase their confidence and ability to control their bike.
- One day course.
- Suitable for 5 to 9 year olds.
- Held at Calderdale schools during school holidays.
- Bikes and helmets can be provided, but we encourage you to bring your own bike.
The course
Starting on balance bikes and moving onto pedal bikes through a series of games and exercises.
- Start with a bike and helmet check.
- On to riding a balance bike.
- Progress to a pedal bike.
- Cycle control.
- Basics of safe riding.
- A skills course.
- Slow races and games.
Expert advice is given throughout by our instructors.
