Jerusalem Farm/Wade Wood has a 13-hectare nature reserve that the Calderdale Way passes.
There are paths you can use in the woodland. Please note: Access to the woods from the car park is by a steep grass track.
The site is near Booth village, just north of Luddenden.
What to see
Wade Wood and the landscape around it is home to many woodland birds like:
- Nuthatches;
- Tree Creepers;
- Goldfinch;
- Robins;
- and Woodpeckers.
Quiet visitors may also catch a sight of deer!
The site has a wide variety of woodland fungi in the autumn months.
It is known for midges on summer evenings, so do not forget the midge repellent!
