Activities
Boating lake

Rowing boats and children's paddle boats can be hired from the boathouse at the far end of the lake.
Open daily from May to September and all school holidays (if the weather is allows).

Land train
This carries visitors on a scenic route around the park and can be booked for private parties.

Miniature railway

This runs along the park's valley. It passes a picnic area, woodland and boating lake.
On a circular line, the train runs from the station and through a tunnel. It then goes over two bridges and through a cutting on its way around the ¾ mile track.

Shibden Mereside
Come and relax at 'Coffee Culture in the park'. This is our fantastic café, for tasty hot and cold meals, snacks and great coffee!
The Mereside can be booked for lunches, celebrations, weddings and a wide range of business and community occasions. For more about this, please see: Mereside Centre.

Shibden Hall and Folk Museum
Shibden Hall has over six hundred years of history. It is most famous as the residence of Anne Lister a notable lesbian, diarist, businesswoman, landowner and traveller.

Orienteering course
This is a permanent course by East Pennine Orienteering Club. There are courses designed to suit varying levels of ability.
The course takes you on a journey through the estate's woodland and hillside.
Events and activities
A range of corporate events, team building, functions and celebrations can be booked. These are both within the estate and at Mereside.

Play area

This is an exciting play area for toddlers. They can play on the:
- swings;
- cable ride;
- covered slide;
- and the climbing frame for the more adventurous.
The equipment is designed to be inclusive for all. Children in wheelchairs can ride on the roundabout and play amongst their peers.
Toilets
These can be found at:
- Shibden Mereside (lower car park).
- The children's play area.
- Shibden Hall car park.
There are nappy changing and disabled toilets at all locations. These are inspected twice daily.
