- Halifax Courier 1914 - 1918. This marks the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the WW1. Halifax (weekly) Courier pages were digitised from the start of 1914 to the end of 1918.
Historical newspapers on microfilm
- Local historical newspapers. These date from 1832 onwards. They are available in the Central Library and some other libraries. The list is quite extensive with a few short lived titles even going back into the 18th Century.
Top tip: When searching for a phrase or a two-worded place-name, use apostrophes. For example, 'Hebden Bridge'.
