Library fees

Please note: There is no late return fee for any item issued free of charge.

Standard:
- Books, talking books, board games, DVDs, lost tickets and reservations.
Children:
- Books, talking books, lost tickets and reservations.
Other:
- Research charges, loss of inter library loan items and photocopying/printing.

Reservations	Free for items in our stock. £1 for items not in stock, but we are able to buy. (60p with proof of Passport to Leisure card.) £10 for a loan from outside Calderdale. (£5 with proof of Passport to Leisure card.)	Does not apply

Research	Free for up to 15 minutes of research. £1.50 basic fee for any information sent out at this stage; plus the cost of any copies supplied. £15.50 per half hour for in depth enquiries. This includes VAT, one A4 photocopy and postage; extra copies are charged for and there is a time limit on each enquiry.
Loss of inter library loan items	Replacement cost plus £20 admin fee.
Photocopying and Printing	Please note: Price changes from 1st April 2025 are in brackets. Colour or black and white: 10p for A4. (15p for black and white. 20p for colour.) 20p for A3. (20p for black and white. 30p for colour.)
