Reading Friends

Chat, share stories, meet new people and have fun.
- Do you enjoy a good book?
- Like looking at magazines or reading the paper?
- Would you like to chat about what you read?
If so, Calderdale Libraries would love to hear from you, email: libraries@calderdale.gov.uk.
Reading Groups
Want to meet with others and discuss what you are reading? If so, we have lots of reading groups who meet often to discuss their latest read.
Some meet in libraries and others meet elsewhere. Staff can let you know what there is across Calderdale.
Do you want to set up a reading group with your friends? You can get a library card that allows you to borrow sets of books from us. Just ask a member of staff.
For more details, email: mohsen.shah@calderdale.gov.uk.
Reading Spa
It is easy to get into a "reading rut" and stick with the authors we know and feel comfortable with.
- Although, sometimes we want to broaden our horizons, but do not know who to try next;
- or maybe you have not had time to read lately and want to get back to it.
We can offer one-to-one reading consultations, so we can offer bespoke suggestions. This comes with a cup of tea and cake. Also, a prescription of titles to try with some free reservations to get you started.
To register your interest or book a slot, please email: libraries@calderdale.gov.uk.
