This will prevent vehicles from parking on Bradford Road to either deliver to the store or visit it. The restriction will also maintain sight lines for vehicles leaving the car park and for the business centre next door.
It is also proposed to introduce lengths of 'no waiting at any time' restrictions on Bradford Road at its junctions with Queens Mead and Oaklands Avenue. Those restrictions will also extend into Oaklands Avenue from that junction. These will maintain sight lines for vehicles that are displaced to park in these areas.
Finally, it is proposed to extend the existing 'no waiting at any time and no loading Monday to Friday 8.15 – 9.15 am and 2.30 – 4pm' on Towngate. This will improve the forward visibility of vehicles negotiating a bend on Towngate and improve the free flow of traffic.
