Calderdale Council are proposing a package of improvement measures on the A646/A6033 corridors to improve traffic flows, reduce congestion, reduce accidents and stimulate economic growth.

To facilitate these improvements in the Hebden Bridge area, it is proposed to remove two limited waiting parking bays on Market Street and replace them with No Waiting At Any Time and No Loading Monday – Sunday 8 - 9.30am and 4 - 6.30pm waiting restrictions.

Any representations or comments must be received in writing by 6th July 2023.

Update

Objections were considered by the Governing Body and overruled. The order has now been made and is operational from 31st July 2023.

What happens next?

After the consultation period ends, all representations and comments received will be considered by the Case Manager.

A report that contains their recommendations will be presented to the Governing Body for final consideration.
