We propose to introduce this to prevent kerbside parking. It is to make sure there is safe access to and from the new off-street parking areas.
It will:
- Enable the safe passage of any class of traffic (including pedestrians) on the road. (As specified in Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.)
- Avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the roads or any other road.
The proposals were formally advertised and no objections were received. The scheme was finally sealed on 3rd September 2025 and became operational on 8th September 2025.
