Calderdale residents can use HWRCs to deposit items that do not fit in the domestic wheelie bin or bin liners. Important note: You must bring and show some identification that proves you are a resident.
There are separate skips for cardboard, scarp metal, general waste, timber, electrical items, green waste and more. Sort your waste before you visit and put it in the right skip. By doing this, you help to make sure that the most is recycled or recovered as possible.
There is a height barrier that restricts vehicles over 5 feet 11 inch (1.8 metres) from entering. Pease note: Unless you have a permit, vehicles above this height will be turned away
Note: We operate a commercial vehicle permit scheme. If you use a van, pick-up or a vehicle with a large trailer, you must have a permit.
Important note: There is no facility for the disposal of plasterboard, hardcore or rubble at this site. Please use an alternative HWRC at Halifax, Brighouse or Todmorden.
