Todmorden (Eastwood) Household Waste Recycling Centre

Rules for the storage and disposal of upholstered furniture, which includes sofas, chairs and beanbags.
Calderdale residents can use HWRCs to deposit items that do not fit in the domestic wheelie bin or bin liners. Important note: You must bring and show some identification that proves you are a resident.
There are separate skips for cardboard, plastic bottles, tubs and trays, timber, electrical items, green waste and more. Sort your waste before you visit and put it in the right skip. By doing this, you help to make sure that the most is recovered.
The service is free to use. Please make sure you have enough time to deposit waste and leave the site by closing time.
There is a height barrier that restricts vehicles over 5 feet 11 inch (1.8 metres) from entering. Please note: Unless you have a permit, vehicles above this height will be turned away
Note: We operate a commercial vehicle permit scheme. If you use a van, pick-up or a vehicle with a large trailer, you must have a permit.

Please Note: Gates to these sites can be closed up to 10 minutes before the site closing time. This is to ensure waste is deposited and vehicles have exited by the closing time.

Christmas closures
We are closed on December 25th, 26th and January 1st.
What to take
- Bricks and rubble: You can bring small amounts of up to two rubble sacks (20kg capacity). This is the maximum allowed per visit and you can only visit once per week. This is in line with the Government's guidance.
Please note: You must bring and show some identification that proves you are a Calderdale resident. No trade waste. - Cans: (Including empty aerosols).

- Plasterboard: Maximum of two sacks (20kg capacity) or one large item (maximum size of 200cm by 75cm).
- Plastic bottles, tubs and trays: No hard plastic, such as garden furniture and no plastic film products.

- Tyres: Only four per visit.
- Vapes: Please place these in the collection tube.

Re-use shop; "Revive"
We have a shop at Brighouse HWRC for the resale of good quality unwanted items.
- This includes a variety of furniture, toys and homeware at low prices.
- Every item for sale would have gone to waste, which means that each item bought contributes to a greener Calderdale.
