Apply for a permit

If your property is eligible for resident or visitor permits, you can apply and pay for your permits online.

As part of the process, you will be asked to give proof of:

  • Residency;
  • and that the vehicle is registered to your account address.

Documents we accept as proof:

  • Domestic Council Tax bill.
  • Tenancy agreement.
  • A V5C Registration document (Logbook), lease agreement or letter of authority (where this applies).

Please note: Utility bills are not accepted.

For visitor permits you will be asked to provide proof of residency only (as above).

You will not need to provide the Council Tax bill or tenancy agreement, if you:

  • Are happy for us to confirm your resident status from the Electoral Role or other Council databases.
  • Agree this in the application process.
