Young people have a duty to be in education or training, until the academic year ends after they are 18.

There are many ways they can do this, such as:
- Apprenticeships.
- Full-time courses at college/school/other learning provider.
- Working full-time/part-time/volunteering alongside accredited training.
There are great benefits to be enjoyed by employing young people who are at the start of their career. There is a range of training available. This means the right course will be available so your young employee can learn the right skills for the job. It is the best way to tackle the issues of an ageing workforce, skills shortage, staff retention and productivity.
