How we use your information
Calderdale Council is registered with the information Commissioners Office (ICO) under the provisions of the Data Protection Act 2018. The Council takes its responsibilities under the Act very seriously.
Why we collect your information
- So we can contact you in your role as an official of a self-managed allotment.
- In order to maintain accurate records of contact details for the allotment association. (This is stored electronically on our system.)
If you share your information with us, it constitutes explicit consent from you to process your data for this purpose.
What details we collect
- Your name.
- Contact details.
We record this from any correspondence with you about the site.
How long we will keep your details
- The duration of your role with the allotment association;
- and six years after its end or the end of any correspondence that relate to the site.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- See what information is held about you.
- Have inaccurate information corrected.
- Have information removed from our system. (Unless we are required by law or a statutory purpose to keep it.)
