The information provided by you, or others about you, is collected for the purposes of providing you with the services required to deal with community safety and resilience.
These services include responding to antisocial behaviour, the issuing of fixed penalty notices, missing persons enquiries, logging of out-of-hours enquiries, community safety warden tasking, the reporting, deterrence and investigation of crime, and the response to and recovery from emergency incidents.
Your data may be shared with other departments within Calderdale Council, with partners of the Calderdale Community Safety Partnership, West Yorkshire Resilience Forum and UK Government Departments.
We need to collect this information in order to be able to provide the best solution to the issues raised and to protect vital interests. The collection and sharing of the information with us constitutes explicit consent from you for us to process your data for this purpose only and is necessary to protect the vital interests of a data subject or another person.
You may withdraw this consent at any time by writing to the Community Safety and Resilience Team, c/o The Town Hall, Crossley Street, Halifax HX1 or community-safety@calderdale.gov.uk
In addition you have the right to see what information is held about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to have information removed from our system unless we are required by law or a statutory purpose to keep it and the right to complain to the Data Protection Officer if you feel that your data has not been handled in accordance with the law. Your name, contact details and eligibility are recorded electronically on our system to maintain up to date records. This information will be kept for a maximum of six years after our last contact, or until such time as the data is reviewed by us or removed at your request.
