Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council (the Council) of Town Hall, Crossley Street, Halifax, HX1 1UJ is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under the provision of the Data Protection Act 2018. The Council takes its duty as Data Controller under the Data Protection Act and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) very seriously.

The information provided by you is collected for the purposes of:
Your information may be shared with the Council’s Legal department for the purpose of maintaining accurate records, as well as the Council’s Financial Department for the purposed of taking payments associated with agreement.
We may also share your information with our contracted enforcement agents, and contracted bailiff services, for the collect of outstanding monies.
Your name and contact details are recorded on the written agreement, on any correspondence to you relating to the tenancy and electronically on our system to maintain up to date records. This information will be kept for the duration of the tenancy agreement, and then a subsequent 6 years after its end or the end of any ensuing correspondence relating to the tenancy agreement.
The GDPR provides the following rights for individuals. Not all rights are absolute and therefore will only apply in certain circumstances:
You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
