This privacy notice describes how we will use your information to process your application for a Test and Trace Support payment to support self-isolation or caring for a child self- isolating.
The following information will be provided on your application form by yourself or the person submitting it on your behalf:
In addition, we will receive information from the Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC) to confirm isolation requests and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to confirm benefits awarded to you.
The personal data that we collect will be used to check your eligibility for a Test and Trace Support Payment and the Discretionary Payment, process your application, make payments to you, and to provide you with advice about any other local support that may be available to you.
We may also use your personal data for benefit accuracy checks, and when making a payment under the scheme we will validate bank account details to ensure they align with the applicant for anti-fraud purposes.
Your information will be shared internally with our Council Tax service to check the address details you have given correspond with our council tax record for that address.
We will share your information externally with the Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC), Her Majesty’s Revenues and Customs (HMRC) and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
If applicable we will also contact your child’s school or childcare provider as part of the verification checks as required.
We will not share your information with any other third parties unless we are required to do so by law.
Your personal information will be held for a maximum of seven years and will then be securely destroyed.
