Privacy Notice – How we use your information
Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council of Town Hall, Crossley Street, Halifax, HX1 1UJ is registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) under the provision of the Data Protection Act 2018. The Council takes its responsibilities as Data Controller under the Act very seriously.
This privacy notice explains how your personal information will be processed in respect of Welcome to Breastfeed – Calderdale award scheme.
The type of information we will collect
The following personal information will be collected directly from you on behalf of your venue/business:
Contact name and contact email address and phone number
Why we collect and hold this information
The purposes of processing your personal information are:
- To create an online directory of venues and their facilities to support breastfeeding mums
- To maintain up to date contacts for the venues/businesses pledging to take part in the scheme to keep them informed and updated of relevant information.
Sharing your personal data
Information will be shared with Locala, as joint partners with Calderdale Council on the Welcome to Breastfeed – Calderdale award scheme. We will never share your information with other third parties without your consent unless the law allows us to do so.
The lawful basis for the processing your data
Article 6(1)(a) – your consent to process the information for the purposes stated.
Retaining your personal information
Personal information will be retained by Calderdale Council for a maximum of six months, at which time it will be securely destroyed. For more information on how Locala process your information, please see their privacy notice.
Your rights
The GDPR provides the following rights for individuals. Not all rights are absolute and therefore will only apply in certain circumstances:
