Find road adoption status

Private (unadopted) roads are not maintainable at public expense. The maintenance of these roads is usually the responsibility of the landowner or owners of adjacent land.

Private roads may or may not be subject to public rights of way. As such, unadopted roads usually consist of dirt or rubble tracks. Many do not have basic services such as drainage or street lighting.
