Independent Visitor - Volunteer for Children in Care

Visit and befriend a child or young person living in care.

An independent visitor (IV) is a volunteer who visits and befriends a child or young person living in care. Children and young people have often experienced trauma and lack of consistent adult relationships. The IV may be the one consistent adult they have in their life.

We seek to recruit a number of adult volunteers who can offer a regular commitment of 4-6 hours each month.

This will be for at least 12 months to support a young person in care.
