We can give information on the condition, suitability and sufficiency of your school or academy premises. We can also provide curriculum analysis for schools and academies.
Services and pricing for academies
What we can do for you:
- Provide academies with comprehensive, accurate and consistent data on the condition, suitability and sufficiency of all academy premises. Also, curriculum analysis of secondary academies.
- On a five year cycle, update and monitor the schools' Asset Management Planning (AMP) database. The AMP data can be used, for example, in future funding applications, maintenance requirements and undertaking modification works.
- Each academy will be surveyed and, following consultation, will receive a copy of the Condition survey report every five years;
- Undertake sufficiency assessments of all academies. This involves measuring the number of pupil places available (capacity) compared to the current and future numbers on roll and the overall areas of buildings and grounds in support of the places available and the current number on roll.
- Provide a full report from the AMP database as well as an advice service to academies in relation to AMP issues.

What we can do for you:
- We will implement the Department for Education (DfE) requirement to provide them with comprehensive, accurate and consistent data on the condition, suitability and sufficiency of all school premises, plus curriculum analysis of secondary schools;
- We will facilitate an Asset Management Planning (AMP) consultation forum. This will meet twice each year to enable full and formal consultation to take place. This will involve representatives of primary/secondary schools, Governors, Diocesan bodies and trade unions in relation to the schools' AMP. The local authority will, on a five year cycle, update and monitor the schools' AMP database. This information will be used to provide a priority list of capital investment in the local authority's strategic Statement of Priorities (StOP) document, each year. All documents will be consulted upon through the Schools AMP Consultation Group and displayed on the Council's web site.
