How we can help and who to contact.

We can give impartial advice, information and support. This is for academies, schools and parents/carers of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).

We also offer independent support for children and young people, if they ask for it. This support is separate and provided directly to them.

What we can do for you

For academies and schools, we offer information and support around:

  • SEND issues.
  • IEPs (Individual Education Plans).
  • Assessments.
  • Sendist (SEN and Disability Tribunals).

For families and pupils, we offer a confidential and impartial service. This includes information, support and advice in the following areas:

  • Support in meetings or with letter writing.
  • Assessment process and Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan needs.
  • Secondary schools choice.
  • Fixed or permanent exclusions.
  • Advice about Education law and SEN Code of Practice.
