The Council maintains a charity stall at each market site, which is available on a specific day each week.
The stall is free to registered local charities and local branches of national charities, plus amateur sporting and local organisations.
Bookings for this facility (on a first come, first served basis) can be made by contacting the relevant market office:

When a date has been agreed for you, you must confirm the booking in writing on your charity's headed paper.

Mayor's charity stall
The Markets Service also maintains the Mayor's charity stall on Southgate Precinct, Halifax on a Friday and Saturday each week.
The stall is available at a charge of £20 to registered local charities and local branches of national charities. Bookings for this facility (on a first come, first served basis) can be made by contacting the market office:

Free stalls for schools
Let your students have a real taste of life in a busy competitive market. They can run their "own" stall at one of Calderdale's open markets in Elland, Hebden Bridge, Sowerby Bridge or Todmorden.
Use of the stall is free for educational purposes, such as:
- Promotion of adult learning.
- Literacy classes.
- Parent teacher events to raise funds.
