This lets applicants (known as 'relevant bodies') submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to give or help to provide a Council service.
If we accept, an EOI competitive procurement exercise start.
The relevant bodies that can submit EOIs, are:
- Voluntary and community bodies.
- Registered charities.
- Groups of two or more employees of the authority.
- Parish Councils.
Our approach
We have developed a local policy to implement the Community Right to Challenge. The framework and guidance for this will shortly be available to view online. Until then, they are available on request by using the contact details below.
Under section 82 (2) of the Act, we can set time periods in which we will consider EOIs. Those submitted outside these periods may be rejected.
We have set the time period in which we will consider expressions of interest from 1st July to 30th September each year. Our decision is based on the information we ask for in the form and in accordance with the provisions of the Act. We will acknowledge receipt and within 30 days we will let you know the date by which you will get a decision. Our decision will be to reject, to ask you to modify or to accept your EOI.
