
A free demonstration of the watercolour techniques she applies to painting feathers. Birds of prey are particularly wonderful to observe closely. Their complex layers can be seen clearly to give depth to a painting.
Jane Austin has been a professional artist for 25 years. Her work has been exhibited nationally and locally, with many solo exhibitions at All Souls' Church.
Her work can be seen currently at Bankfield Museum, Shibden Hall, the Halifax Minster, Dean Clough and the Piece Hall.
Jane will be leading a practical one-day workshop using this technique at Bankfield Museum on Saturday 27th January, 10am - 3.30pm. Note: Booking is essential for the workshop.
