Join watercolour artist Jane Austin for a workshop. Learn how to draw animals through shade, with lost and found outlines.
The way that light passes over an animal can describe their bone structure through shadows. Once simplified in a drawing, this can allow the eye of the observer to complete the unseen outlines.
Jane has been a professional artist for 25 years. Her work has been exhibited nationally and locally, with many solo exhibitions at All Souls' Church. Her work can be seen at Bankfield Museum, Shibden Hall, the Halifax Minster, Dean Clough and the Piece Hall.
- Paper, brushes, pencils, paint and ink will be provided, along with source material.
- Minimum age 12.
- The workshop takes place upstairs with no lift access.
- Jane will demonstrate this technique at Bankfield Museum on Saturday 4th November 2023 from 1pm to 3pm.
