John Reginald Halliday Christie was hanged at Pentonville Prison in 1953. Much of his youth was spent in Akroydon, Halifax. 

On this walk we will visit some of John Christie's family homes, his church, the site of his school and his parents’ grave. 

There will also be an opportunity to hear about the early years of Akroydon-born actor and film star, Eric Portman.
