
A linear Heritage Walk for Halifax Civic Trust, led by David Glover.
This is an interesting walking tour, looking at the Old High level railway which has now disappeared.
In its time it was a very busy and important contribution to life in Halifax. This promises to be a very popular tour so early booking is advisable.
The walk is a fund raising event for Halifax Civic Trust. Proceeds will go towards a number of Blue Plaque unveilings being planned.
- The walk starts at the site of St Paul’s terminus, Queens Road HX1 3YN. Meet David Glover at 2pm.
- The walk finishes near Rye Gate Farm, Doctor Hill, HX2 0TG.
Please note:
- Refreshments are at Christ Church, Pellon.
- Please bring cash to pay for any refreshments as these are not included in the ticket price.
- Please wear sensible footwear. There are some steep climbs and a descent at the end.
- Dogs on leads welcome.
- Not suitable for mobility scooters.
