A fully illustrated lecture given by local historian, David Glover. You will hear about the troubles of the Sunderland family during the English Civil War, and how their home never had an internal staircase.
You will also find out about the terrible rail accident which killed the owner of Castle Carr. As well as the reasons for the deliberate destruction of both buildings in the 20th Century.
