Proposals to review the parking charges/stay periods in Halifax, Brighouse and Hebden Bridge

The Parking Strategy and Charges Review report was considered and approved at Cabinet on 4th November 2024. The report contained a number of proposals to review the parking charges/stay periods in Halifax, Brighouse and Hebden Bridge.

Phase 1a focussed on amending the tariffs in the 4 hour maximum stay on street parking bays in Halifax, and the 2 hour maximum stay on street bays on Akroyd Place, also in Halifax. This came in to effect on 23rd February 2025. 

Phase 1b will focus on amending the tariffs in the 1 hour maximum stay on street parking bays in Hebden Bridge and Brighouse, along with the long stay on and off street (car parks) parking bays in Hebden Bridge. Changes to the tariffs will also be made in the 4 hour maximum stay car parks in Hebden Bridge.
