The amount you pay is based on:
- The appropriate multiplier (or rate in the £).
- The Small Business Non Domestic Rating Multiplier or the Standard Non Domestic Rating Multiplier.
Please note: The Rateable Value (RV) of a business property is fixed by the VOA and not the Council.
Each financial year the Government sets the two multipliers. For more about this, please visit: Business Rates valuation (GOV.UK).
You will find details about:
- Current multipliers.
- How property RVs are worked out.
- Appeals.
- How to have your property removed from the local rating list.
