Meet the team

Henry Hopper

Henry has over 10 years of start-up business support experience. During this time, he has worked for the Prince's Trust supporting start-ups across West Yorkshire and Lancashire on ERDF contracts.

Since joining Calderdale Council in 2020, he has worked on the Inclusive Economy Project as an Enterprise Advisor to new starts-ups. Most recently he has been working as the Start-up Business Manager on the WYCA Start up West Yorkshire programme.

Prior to life in the public sector, Henry worked as senior recruiter. This was in industries such as Geological Engineering, IT and Education across Leeds, London and Australia.

Henry has a great passion to support people to achieve their start-up ambitions. He also has a keen interest in:

  • Business development.
