Updates
8th January 2026
A judicial review application was served to the Council in January of 2025. This challenged the Council's decision to grant the environmental permit for Calder Valley Skip Hire under the Aarhus convention.
- On 29th April 2025, a judge refused permission to apply for the judicial review. This decision was appealed.
- On 4th December 2025, after a hearing, a judge granted permission to the applicant to proceed to Judicial review.
After considering the court's decision, the Council will now discuss the terms of a consent order with the lead objector. This will effectively quash or cancel the permit and a full judicial review will not be required.

- Final permit. CVSH's application has been approved.
