You will have an interview with a Housing Adviser. They will work with you to try to prevent you from becoming homeless.
They will:
- Give you your local housing options.
- Negotiate or mediate with your landlord or who you live with. This is to help you remain in your current home or stay there until you find somewhere else to live.
- Tell you your rights as a lodger or tenant.
- Tell you the rights of your landlord.
- Give advice and help you with your difficulties in finding somewhere else to live.
- Help you to apply for properties through: B-with-us or other housing associations.
- Refer you for debt advice if you need it.
- Help you with rent and mortgage problems.
- Refer you for supported housing.
- Refer you for floating housing-related support.
- Help you if you are experiencing domestic violence and abuse and may refer you to a specialist service.
We will ask you for permission to contact other agencies or professionals who are involved with you. We may also ask to contact your family or landlord.
