This is paid to eligible early years providers. It is to deliver the funded early education for eligible children.

The claim process can be found on the Early Years SharePoint with the main steps to submit a headcount claim. The process is also within your Provider Agreement.

The process
- You submit data, via the online portal, during the Forecast task. We use this to make your 100% estimate payment.
- You submit further data via the online portal during the Actual task. This lets us pay the balancing payment to include:
- Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP), if due.
- Disability Access Funding (DAF), if due.
- Deprivation Supplement, if due.
Working Parents' entitlement confirmation deadlines
Spring funding period
Parents with an eligible child who wish to claim the Working Parents' entitlement must:
- Apply to HMRC by 31st December.
Parents whose children already get the entitlement must make sure their code is valid/reconfirmed.
- To do this, access your Childcare Choices account by 31st December.
Summer funding period
Parents with an eligible child who wish to claim the Working Parents' entitlement must:
- Apply to HMRC by 31st March.
Parents whose children already get the entitlement must make sure their code is valid/reconfirmed.
- To do this, access your Childcare Choices account by 31st March.
Autumn funding period
Parents with an eligible child who wish to claim the Working Parents' entitlement must:
- Apply to HMRC by 31st August.
Parents whose children already get the entitlement must make sure their code is valid/reconfirmed.
- To do this, access your Childcare Choices account by 31st August.
Please note: We do not have any discretionary funds for parents who apply late.
