Longfellow Court/Red Acre Lane, Mytholmroyd

To alleviate safety issues it is proposed to introduce waiting restrictions.

Update - 13th February 2025

This order has now been made and comes into force on 3rd March 2025. See Notice of Making and Sealed Order in the supporting documents section for details

Proposed scheme

Longfellow Court/Burnley Road

Longfellow Court is a very narrow residential road. Inappropriate parking and manoeuvres at school start and finish times are causing safety issues for other road users, particularly parents with pushchairs and wheelchair users. To alleviate the problem, it is proposed to introduce waiting restrictions along both sides of the road. ‘No waiting at any time’ restrictions are proposed along the western side and around the junction with Burnley Road on both sides and school start/finish time restrictions are proposed outside the houses on the eastern side.

Red Acre Lane/Burnley Road

Complaints have been received regarding vehicles parking too close to the Red Acre Lane/Burnley Road junction, causing problems for motorists entering and exiting the junction. To ensure that sight lines are maintained and assist vehicles using this junction, it is proposed to introduce ‘No waiting at any time’ restrictions.

The above proposals require changes to existing Traffic Regulation Orders.
