Regent Street, Victoria Street and Hangingroyd Lane (Hebden Bridge) TRO

To alleviate access issues relating to an ongoing housing development and existing businesses, it is proposed to introduce waiting restrictions.

Proposed schemes

Regent Street, Hebden Bridge

The Council granted permission for redevelopment of the old fire station site for a housing development with a new access road from Regent Street. (Visit: Planning portal). To keep the access clear of parked vehicles it is proposed to introduce 'No waiting at any time' waiting restrictions (double yellow lines) which will replace three existing pay and display parking spaces.

Victoria Road, Hebden Bridge

The Council have received numerous complaints regarding obstructive parking on both sides of Victoria Road around the entrance to Leedham Court. This parking prevents or delays refuse, emergency and delivery vehicles being able to access the site safely and quickly. To resolve this issue 'No waiting at any time' waiting restrictions are proposed on the Leedham Court side of Victoria Road to enable access to the complex at all times and keep site lines clear for emerging vehicles.

Hangingroyd Lane, Hebden Bridge

The Council have received complaints regarding obstructive parking across the entrance to the rear of the town hall building, which provides access to a small car park and refuse bin storage area. There is currently a H bar (keep clear) marking across the entrance, but this is regularly ignored and cars park along its length blocking access.

To keep the access clear of parked vehicles 'No waiting at any time' waiting restrictions are proposed to enable access to the complex at all times.

All of the above proposals require changes to existing Traffic Regulation Orders.
