Lots of brilliant work is already being done to tackle climate change. Although, we must go further and faster to reach Net Zero. Joined up thinking and action at community level is a great first step.
Key actions
- Launch Calderdale’s first green community advice hub in 2024 to support communities to take climate action.
- Work on 13 neighbourhood climate action plans by 2026 to help communities find the solutions that work best for them.
- Develop a climate champion programme. This will make sure that people from a range of different backgrounds can become community climate champions.
