- Suma Wholefoods launched its Sustainability Strategy in 2023. This set out the actions it will take to reduce its impact on the environment.

- After a dramatic flood hit 'The Blue Teapot', the café took steps to make the building more flood resilient.
- Climate Challenge College has a range of courses that focus on sustainability to help people develop green skills.
- Hour Car community car club offers an alternative to vehicle ownership. This helps residents cut down on their car use and save money.
- The Cromwell Bottom site in Brighouse has been transformed in to a mix of woodland, wetlands and grasslands. This provides habitats for a range of wildlife.
